The term "collage" may not fully capture the complexity of the multidimensional 20th century's legacy, which involved creating conflicts and reproducing them on an impressive scale. Collage itself is not limited to just a page; it's more like a descriptor for a range of operations, from film editing to urban pastiche.
This exhibition has purposely been left untitled and aims to function as a collage in space. It brings together different collections of images and creates new relationships between them, much like a reproductive act that combines existing sources to produce something new.
The images are displayed on panels inspired by Western visual culture, with each collection showcasing multiple personalities and connections to various visual regimes. The exhibit includes cutouts of human bodies, large-scale mosaics made from supermarket catalogs, and paper mache prehistoric heads that watch over the panels.
