Adriana Ciudad, Aquelarre, 2023
Espacio Continuo gallery proposes a dialogue between the works of Adriana Ciudad and Andrés Matías Pinilla for its participation in ARCOmadrid 2024, based on a common interest in uninstilling the notion of art imposed by the colonial process.
Adriana suggests building, from her experience of being a mother, new emotional geographies of resistance, understanding upbringing as a place where home is built. On the other hand, Andrés Matías builds a collage of symbols that integrate and cannibalize theoretical and cultural discourses, a priori on the margins, such as popular graphics, kitsch or low culture materials.
