Perceptual Illusion: Hernando Velandia y Ximena de Valdenebro

Exhibition project that brings together the recent work of Ximena de Valdenebro and a retrospective exhibit by Hernando Velandia. Each artist displays an individual proposal that offers a summary or an overview of their explorations with matter and their ideas in the last years. To enhance this gesture each artist takes one floor of the gallery and installs their pieces.

In this exhibition artists navigate through concepts that allude to collective memory, the secular image, time and specially to psychogeography, which is a proposal of situationism in which is intended to understand the effects, the forms of the geographic environment and how these phenomena affect peoples’ emotions and behavior.
