Ana María Rueda b. 1954

From her first paintings - made in 1985 - to the photographs of today, Ana María Rueda has recurrently worked and explored the link between man and nature and the territory, including his relationship with the other and his place in the world. This approach has been carried out in a vital way through a deep approach to nature, but also from her personal interest and analysis of certain philosophical positions where she investigates interpersonal, ethical and social relationships. He constantly raises reciprocities and correspondences in his projects. His deep interest has been to investigate and present from the metaphor that existential link between man and his position in the world.

Since the beginning of his career he has worked recurrently as a series and elaborated his work from various techniques where the work suggests the medium depending on what the original idea dictates: painting, sculpture, and since 2004 with photography.

Desde sus primeras pinturas —realizadas en 1985 – hasta las fotografías de hoy en día, Ana María Rueda ha trabajado y explorado de manera recurrente el vínculo del hombre con la naturaleza y el territorio, incluyendo su relación con el otro y su lugar en el mundo. Esta aproximación la ha realizado de manera vital a través de un profundo acercamiento a la naturaleza, pero también a partir del interés personal y análisis de ciertas posiciones filosóficas donde se indaga por las relaciones interpersonales, éticas y sociales. Plantea constantemente en sus proyectos, reciprocidades y correspondencias. Su interés profundo ha sido el de indagar y presentar desde la metáfora ese vínculo existencial entre el
hombre y su posición en el mundo. 

Desde el inicio de su carrera ha trabajado recurrentemente a manera de series y elaborando su trabajo a partir de diversas técnicas en donde la obra sugiere el medio dependiendo de lo que la idea original dicte: Pintura, escultura, y desde 2004 con fotografía.
